ABOUT

Daddio

I have been drawing since I was 5 years old ...

The subject matter has changed in the past 55 years but the compulsion to draw has remained. I have over the years been involved with various disciplines of art, from sculpting to film. I attended the School Of Visual Arts in New York for Photography under Ralph Hattersley and Richard Avidon and Fine Arts with Chuck Close. As the years past, I always returned to what I now feel has always been my calling, pen and ink. Although these days I draw mostly in black ink, in my mind I see the work in color.

I find that when ever I stay away for to long away from my drawing desk, I get this itch that I have to scratch. A few hours drawing usually relives stresses I put upon myself, clears my mind, and generally puts me in a better mood - and not to mention clears my complexion.

I have had shows in NYC, Danbury CT, Cambridge MA, and Honesdale PA. My wife finally convinced me to get involved and exhibit my work locally. ALL ARTS Gallery, a great collection of fellow artists, has given me and my monochromatic friends the chance to do my latest gallery event - the “Eclectic Drawn to Detail” show.
